Paintings
These works are elegant paintings with lively colors and expressive movement of line. Attention to brushstroke, texture and to surface quality allows all parts of the canvas to play an equal role in the whole piece.

N. Blanca
N. Blanca, the pseudonym, identifies the genre of my creative process. This identity is a perspective on witnessing and documenting the beauty of everyday and found objects.
N. Blanca Assemblage
In these three-dimensional works, each texture is developed with layers of emulsions, mediums, found and collected objects and then painted with luminous colors. The artist's energy is transmitted to create a sense of excitement or calm.

N. Blanca Ceramics
These ceramics are vessels for objects and food, as well as ideas.
Vessels are filled into and then emptied, like we hold and release emotions. In these pieces tension is created by breaking the surface with tactile texture that evokes remembrances of feelings, times, places, and things the one has experienced, seen, and touched.

Paintings

Leigh is an abstract expressionist artist. Currently, her art is influenced by an interest in organic rock formations and their colorful thin section studies.
She creates colorful, textured layers and reacts to those with other layers until an organic composition emerges creating a finished surface full of colorful, textural rhythms.
